What Is E-Chords?

E-Chords (e-chords.com) is a guitar chord and tab library with hundreds of thousands of songs organized by artist. It includes chord diagrams, auto-scroll, a built-in transposer, and guitar/ukulele/bass tab support. The site is popular among beginner and intermediate guitarists looking for songs to learn.

The free tier has display ads and limits the number of chord sheets you can print or download per month. E-Chords Pro ($7.99/month or $59.99/year) removes ads, adds offline access, and removes print limits.

Like all tab databases, E-Chords only has chord sheets for songs already in its library. It cannot analyze audio files you provide, which means it does not work for unreleased tracks, sample packs, stems, or any audio outside its database.

When to Use BeatKey Instead

🎵

Analyzing samples and unreleased tracks

E-Chords has tabs for popular songs. If you have a sample pack loop, an unreleased demo, or any audio that is not a well-known song, E-Chords cannot analyze it. BeatKey Chord Finder analyzes any audio file you upload.

🚫

No print credits, no subscriptions

E-Chords limits free users to a fixed number of prints per month and locks Pro features behind a subscription. BeatKey has no credits, no monthly limits, and no subscription. Use it as much as you need.

🔒

Private audio analysis

BeatKey Chord Finder runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your audio file is never uploaded to a server. Safe for unreleased music, confidential material, and samples from packs you own.
